Job Title: Jaguar Land Rover Technician
Employment: Full time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 17:00pm. Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
Location: Jaguar Land Rover Cardiff
Salary: £28,000 to £42,000 OTE (depending on level of experience)
As a qualified Vehicle Technician you will be at the heart of our customer experience, keeping customers on the road and taking pride in a job well done. Working with a talented team and some of the best equipment in the business, you will repair, service and care for all kinds of vehicles — identifying faults, making improvements, keeping accurate records and meeting demanding quality and safety standards. You will work to MOT and manufacturer standards, focusing on delivering customer satisfaction and public safety while minimising costs for the customer.
Responsibilities
* Repair, service and diagnose vehicles to manufacturer and MOT standards.
* Identify faults, implement improvements and keep accurate service records.
* Meet quality and safety standards; communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
* Operate with attention to customer satisfaction and cost minimisation for the customer.
* Adhere to workshop processes, safety guidelines, and documentation requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
* NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent NVQ, BTEC or City & Guilds qualifications.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and explain complex repairs to customers.
* Commitment to maintaining product, brand and industry knowledge; willingness to accept mentoring and development opportunities.
* Ability to check level and quality of work using diagnostic equipment, perform self-quality checks and road test vehicles after work is carried out.
* Experience in a retailer environment and experience coaching/mentoring junior or less experienced team members is advantageous. Practical knowledge of electric vehicles is desirable.
