We are extremely proud to be representing one of Yorkshire’s truly independent insurance brokers, which is seeking a talented Claims Handler.
This position has arisen due to the impressive ongoing growth of the company. The business is a huge success story and has opened 6 new offices over the last 5 years in the North of England.
Known very much for its quality, integrity and professionalism, this broker holds ‘trusted advisor’ status with its discerning client base and takes great pride in providing the highest levels of service. “Our reputation means everything to us, and we play with a straight bat”, says the Broking Director. The fact that people very rarely leave this company is testament to its refreshing approach to doing business.
Providing a dedicated claims service on behalf of this broker’s branch network, you will be involved with a fascinating array of losses spanning almost every conceivable industry sector.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for claims handling, and who has their customers’ best interests at heart, at all times. You’ll be proactive, inquisitive, and you’ll challenge insurers’ decisions, when needed, in order to achieve the right outcome for your valued clients. This is far from a post-box-style claims role and as such, we are looking for someone who is willing to challenge the status quo and go “above and beyond”. You’ll be working alongside Account Executives and Directors who will really value your input, which will give you exposure to some client meetings and ad hoc projects. You’ll also enjoy working within a very experienced and competent claims team, who genuinely enjoy what they do, and are a highly regarded part of this prestigious broker.
You must have experience of dealing with the main commercial insurance covers (Property, Liability and Motor). Ideally, we are seeking candidates with broker claims experience, although we do welcome applications from high calibre claims candidates from an insurer or loss adjusting background, who feel that they have the ability to make the successful transition into an intermediary.
We want to stress that this is not a dead-end claims role. The Director is keen to tell us that, “they always have one eye on succession planning”, and as the business grows (both organically, and via strategic acquisitions), a myriad of opportunities continue to become available, both in a leadership or technical capacity.
Our client has a hybrid-working arrangement, allowing you to work 2 days a week from home, although you are of course welcome in the office as much as you like.
You’ll be rewarded with a generous salary, commensurate with your experience. In addition, you’ll benefit from a lucrative performance-related bonus scheme, a 5% Christmas bonus, and a benefits package that is akin to that of a global organisation (including large pension contributions).
