Planning Solicitor - Kent | Leading Law Firm We are currently working with a highly regarded law firm in Kent, who are seeking an experienced Planning Solicitor to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of planning law, including town and country planning, environmental issues, development projects, and policy matters. Represent clients in both contentious and non-contentious planning matters, including development consent applications, planning appeals, and enforcement issues. Advise on the legal implications of development schemes, including planning obligations, Section 106 agreements, and planning conditions. Work closely with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth legal processes for a variety of development projects. Draft legal documents, including planning applications, appeals, and legal agreements. Keep up to date with any changes in planning legislation and policy, ensuring the firm's clients are always given the best possible advice. Key Requirements: Qualified Solicitor (ideally 3 years PQE, but candidates with other levels of experience will be considered). Proven experience in planning law, including working on large-scale development projects and planning disputes. Strong understanding of the planning process, policies, and related legislation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professionals. Ability to manage your own caseload with a high level of autonomy while working as part of a collaborative team. Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
