Assistant Cost Accountant Shipley
Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Shipley to recruit an Assistant Cost Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and supportive finance team.
The Role
* Monitor, investigate, and report on inventory adjustments
* Support SOX controls, compliance, and testing processes
* Update costs and investigate costing queries
* Produce monthly variance analysis and maintain standard costs
* Prepare journals and complete balance sheet reconciliations
* Forecast cost of sales, margins, and inventory levels
* Support stock takes, WIP checks, and annual cost revaluations
About You
* AAT qualified (or studying towards CIMA/ACCA)
* Strong understanding of double entry and costing principles
* Experience in a busy finance environment with tight deadlines
* Manufacturing and ERP/MRP system experience beneficial
* Confident Excel user with strong analytical skills
* Organised, detail-focused, and a collaborative team player
