NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE IN BELFAST FOR A SUPPLY OFFICER
* Full time on-site in Belfast
* Contract until November 2026
* £29ph via Umbrella
* 35 hour week, with premium overtime rates for any overtime
* BPSS clearance required prior to starting
WHAT WILL THE SUPPLY OFFICER BE DOING?
The role of the Supply Chain Coordinator involves managing a portfolio of suppliers acting as the main on-site liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless material flow, performance management, and supplier recovery where needed. This role plays a vital part in improving operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and shaping the future of the supply chain through digitalisation and transformation initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Managing a portfolio of suppliers daily using existing and emerging digital tools.
* Anticipating risks, manage demand and forecasts, and drive proactive mitigation actions.
* Leading and driving supplier recoveries, ensuring on-time and in-full delivery performance.
* Challenging supplier performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
* Acting as the first point of contact for supply chain queries from operations.
* Coordinating supplier working parties and manage order books, including maintaining MRP Master Data.
* Using data management tools to analyse performance and make informed decisions.
* Optimising stock levels and ordering strategies for procured goods.
* Partnering with Supply Chain Quality Managers and Commercial Buyers to deliver an integrated procurement approach.
* Contributing to supply chain transformation projects, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement.
WE NEED THE SUPPLY OFFICER TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING…
* Solid experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing Engineering
* Strong understanding of MRP and SAP within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Proven supplier-facing experience, including performance management and recovery activities.
* Experience with digital tools and automation within a supply chain context.
* A good understanding of LEAN and project management principles.
