Core Responsibilities
1. Planning and delivering lessons that balance theoretical knowledge of materials and components with hands-on practical skills.
2. Teaching students how to use a range of hand tools and machinery safely and with increasing precision.
3. Guiding Key Stage 4 students through their GCSE or vocational coursework, ensuring they meet rigorous design and making criteria.
4. Integrating modern technologies, such as CAD/CAM, into the curriculum to reflect current industry practices.
5. Managing a safe, organized workshop environment where students are encouraged to innovate and iterate on their designs.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a proactive teacher who is as comfortable with a traditional lathe as they are with a digital design interface. Requirements include
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong technical competence across various materials (timber, metals, polymers) and manufacturing processes.
* A solid understanding of current health and safety legislation (DATA) within a workshop setting.
* The ability to motivate students to see the real-world application of their design projects.
