Leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a £40M new build care home scheme in Surrey. The project involves the construction of 112 traditional build homes and requires strong leadership from inception through to handover. Candidates with a trade background will be at an advantage. Key Responsibilities Lead the project to ensure completion on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Act as the main point of contact with the client, providing regular updates and maintaining strong relationships. Direct, mentor, and support project staff in line with contractual, regulatory, and construction requirements. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring all site teams perform to the required standard. Oversee day-to-day operations, driving efficiency and productivity across the site. Deliver progress reports, monitor performance, and resolve any issues that may arise. Promote continuous improvement, streamline processes, and ensure a seamless service to the client. Capture lessons learned and contribute to the ongoing development of project teams. Qualifications & Experience Qualification in a trade, construction, or site management. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor. SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS accreditation required. Proven track record delivering large-scale residential schemes. Strong commercial awareness with cost control and construction planning expertise. Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project/Powerproject) and MS Office. Experienced in leading project teams and managing subcontractors effectively. In-depth knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance.
