Job Description
The role is Pharmacy Technician supporting the Clinical Pharmacist to implement safe and efficient repeat prescribing, medicines optimisation, and reduce medicine waste, ultimately maximizing patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the Clinical Pharmacist to deliver safe, effective, and efficient repeat prescribing systems, medicines optimisation, and reduce waste.
* Perform administrative duties to help the site operate smoothly, acting as a valuable part of the patient’s healthcare team.
* Support improved coordination and effective pharmacy administration within general practice, focusing on repeat prescribing systems, processes and medicines optimisation.
* Engage patients by phone, face‑to‑face, SMS or online, advising them on medication use and lifestyle choices to achieve the best possible care.
Ideal Candidate
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* At least four General Certificates in Secondary Education (GCSEs) including maths, English and two sciences, or equivalent qualifications.
* Strong working relationships with colleagues, patients and the public, promoting a positive, supportive, patient‑focused culture.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
* Enthusiastic about helping people and improving health.
