We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a Senior Band 6 Occupational Therapy position based in the Eastern Locality. You will need to provide a high standard of assessment and intervention for children and young people. The post is within the multidisciplinary Physical and Sensory Pathway, working closely with colleagues across other pathways within CFHD. We are an innovative, dedicated, and friendly service with development and CPD opportunities.
You should have clinical supervisory skills and be able to manage a complex and varied caseload across environments such as homes, schools, and clinics. There is a full-time Band 6 secondment opportunity as well; please indicate if you are interested in both posts.

Responsibilities include:
1. Holding responsibility for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment within a designated geographical area, within your competence and capability.
2. Using a strengths-based approach; ensuring clinical effectiveness through evidence-based interventions, collaborative practice, and Routine Outcome Measures.
3. Delivering specialist occupational therapy advice, assessments, and interventions to children and young people with various difficulties in different settings.
4. Interventions may include direct therapy, coaching, training, and recommendations for adaptive equipment and environmental adaptations.
5. Supervising and supporting Occupational Therapy Technicians and/or Integrated Therapy assistants.
6. Mentoring and supervising newly qualified Occupational Therapists and Band 4/5 staff as needed.
7. Participating in student placements.
8. Promoting and supporting participation of service users.
9. Working across other geographical areas to support colleagues.
10. Participating in clinical audits and research.
11. Assessing and intervening with specialised equipment and environmental adaptations as part of statutory work.
