About the role
The National Account Manager will ensure the account defined volume and profitability targets are achieved. You will represent account specific requirements and manage these in line with the Commercial Plan. You will ensure sector specific dynamics are incorporated in the Commercial Plan & forecast process.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Customer Management: Develop and maintain commercial contact strategy across multiple levels.
2. Upselling: Identify and exploit all sales opportunities relevant to the customer and channel.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and manage relationships with key customers.
4. Joint Business Planning: Full accountability from planning to execution.
5. Commercial Acumen: Input into the Commercial Plan and monitor & manage the channel volume and profitability against comparators (LY, Budget), grow business sustainability.
6. Cross Functional Collaboration: Work to improve cash flow across sector with finance colleagues.
7. Market & Consumer Insights: Communicate trends within the channel to internal teams.
8. Delivery: Set and deliver objectives aligned with organizational targets.
9. Project Management: Lead and support projects as required.
10. P&L Management: Understand customer P&L and growth levers.
11. Team Management: Manage employee activities if managing a team.
