About the Role
& Team
We are looking for candidates with expertise in animal behaviour and physiology, who will teach across our biology undergraduate, post graduate and degree apprenticeship provision. You'll also have the opportunity to drive education innovation within these programmes. Promoting the department, faculty and university by supporting a range of activities will be important too. The role is 0.4 FTE over 2 days a week, and is available from the start of November 2025 until the end of September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Within the workload allocated to their roles, tutors could potentially be asked to prepare and deliver lectures and practical activities; engage in the evaluation and development of units for which they have responsibility, in terms of content, delivery and assessment; or participate in campus and community events and study trips.
Key Skills & Experiences
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A good first degree together with a PhD in a discipline relevant to animal behaviour and physiology.
2. Experience of teaching and supporting student learning, developing educational practice in the area of animal behaviour and physiology.
3. Sufficient breadth and/or depth of specialist knowledge of animal behaviour and physiology to work within established programmes
