An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Suffolk County Council North Manor Children’s Home in Bramfield, near Halesworth.
North Manor is a Registered Children’s Home for children aged between 11 – 17, for up to 6 children. The overall aim of the home is to provide a safe, stable, nurturing and homely environment for each child, where issues and concerns affecting their past, present and their future can be positively addressed and supported.
Suffolk County Council are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual for the role of Housekeeper to assist in providing a safe, warm and comfortable environment for our children.
You will be responsible for the cleaning, food shopping, planning and preparation of meals within North Manor.
You will be;
1. self-driven, flexible, and emotionally resilient
2. able to offer practical solutions to the needs of the home
3. familiar and comply with Food Hygiene and COSHH regulations
4. experienced in the provision of cleaning, hygiene maintenance and laundry management within a social care setting
5. experienced in the planning and preparation of balanced and economical meals within a social care setting
6. able to communicate and interact well with young people
7. able to empathise and understand the needs of ‘Children in Care’.

Travelling requirements for your role
This organisation positively encourages the use of technology to communicate and engage, but in this role you will need to operate across a wide and rural area, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.
