Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
* Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and special dietary requirements.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
* Serve meals to customers, ensuring presentation meets the restaurant's standards.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; culinary qualifications are an advantage.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
