Job Description:
Following its recent acquisition by SLR, Wardell Armstrong now forms part of a leading global environmental and sustainability consultancy working on projects across the world from over 100 offices. We are pleased to be offering a new vacancy due to our continued growth and success for an ambitious Graduate to 2 years experience to join our Ground Engineering team in Bolton.

With an industry-leading and award-winning ground engineering team of chartered geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists, together with our Specialists in Land Contamination (SiLC), we support projects from feasibility, through planning, and on to successful completion.
The role
You will be involved in a variety of projects across sectors such as energy (linear infrastructure), property development, infrastructure, mining, local authorities, and waste management.
* Completion of Phase I ground engineering, contaminated land, mining/geology, and desk studies;
* Act as a Site Engineer or supporting role, supervising multiple ground investigation/remediation/CQA activities on short or long-term projects, possibly working away from home;
* Supervision of site works including logging of soils and rocks in accordance with UK standards;
* Site monitoring activities including groundwater sampling and gas monitoring;
* Specify and supervise in-situ testing and sampling according to UK specifications and standards;
* Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors, and sub-contractors during site work;
* Assist in preparing Health and Safety and contract documentation, and administer contracts including financial control;
* Assess, analyze, and report geotechnical and geo-environmental data.
About you
* BSc in Engineering Geology, Geology, or similar; MSc or industry experience advantageous;
* A full and clean UK driving license and own vehicle;
* Confidence and knowledge of UK ground investigation techniques; excellent report writing skills; proficiency in relevant software.
