Delivery Manager / BA with Product Exposure

Are you a Delivery Manager or Business Analyst who has worked in or alongside product teams and loves the mechanics of getting things built?
We're hiring urgently for a contract role with a well-known UK consumer brand operating at scale across physical and digital channels.
This is not a strategy Product Manager role, this is the person who takes direction from Senior Product Managers, gets into the detail, writes the tickets, runs the refinement sessions, and keeps engineering moving. If you thrive in the engine room and know how to turn an Epic into a sprint-ready backlog, read on.
The product domain is genuinely interesting - Think complex operational journeys where a customer sale triggers a fulfilment, scheduling and on-site completion chain involving third-parties. B2B2C experience, supply chain, logistics or any sector where a product needs to be installed or fitted at a customer's premises after the sale is a real advantage.
What you will be doing:
✅ Take Senior PM Epics and features and break them down into well-structured, development-ready tickets
✅ Own and manage the engineering team backlog day to day
✅ Run estimation and refinement sessions with the Lead Engineer and team
✅ Facilitate agile ceremonies: standups, planning, retros, refinement
✅ Proactively identify and unblock dependencies and blockers
✅ Track sprint progress and keep delivery on track
✅ Help standardise ways of working across product and engineering
What we want to see:
🔹 Background as a Delivery Manager, BA or Jr/Mid level Product Manager with hands-on engineering team experience
🔹 Worked in or alongside product teams, comfortable taking direction from Senior PMs
🔹 Strong ticket-writing discipline and backlog management skills
🔹 Confident running refinement and estimation sessions with engineers
🔹 Solid agile grounding, you know your ceremonies and you run them well
🔹 Azure DevOps, Jira, Notion or similar
🔹 B2B2C, supply chain, logistics or last-mile/field service experience is a real advantage
