My Client is a leading provider of support packages to young people leaving the care system in the Bradford and Leeds area.
I am recruiting for both a Senior Support Worker and a Residential Support Worker (RSW) for permanent, full-time positions.
Senior Support Worker – £33,906 per annum
* Must have experience supporting young people in a residential setting.
* Must have Team Teach qualification.
Preferred Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or Health and Social Care
* Driving License
Semester Recruitment specialises in supporting young people aged 5-18 in supported living, semi-independent accommodation, and children’s residential homes.
We are currently looking for Support and Youth Workers to provide ongoing support to Care Leavers in the area.
Great flexibility with shifts and rotas. Shifts include 24-hour sleepovers with a rota that includes:
* Week 2: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
* Week 3: Thursday
This role involves supporting Care Leavers aged between 8-18, helping to increase their independence skills.
It is essential that you have experience working within a similar setting and preferably have completed NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce or a similar qualification within this sector.
Qualifications/Requirements
* High standard of general education.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care – Children and Young People (CCYP) or equivalent.
* Willingness to undertake further training.
* Current full driving license with business insurance (preferable).
Job Purpose
To be responsible for providing support to vulnerable people (service users) for the company.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assist the young person’s allocated social worker in service delivery:
* Provide transport/escort as directed in line with care plans.
* Conduct welcome and induction for young people.
* Perform ongoing assessments of service users’ needs.
* Provide ongoing support and monitoring of service users.
* Assist with welfare and NHS issues.
* Prepare reports.
* Arrange appointments with partner agencies.
* Maintain regular contact with young people.
* Inform clients of support groups.
* Assist with move-on processes for service users.
