Lead Clinician – The Shires (Oakham / Stretton, Rutland)

We are seeking a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at The Shires – Oakham / Stretton. The postholder will work collaboratively with the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils who may present with complex profiles of need related to autism and other neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus in this role, target led via the OFG ‘all’, ‘group’ and ‘individual’ clinical approaches embedded into our practice. The Lead Clinician will coordinate line management of the onsite clinical team and lead on the development of the school-based clinical service alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead. Our Clinical Teams maintain a person-centred, empowering approach with pupils at the forefront. All settings uphold a strong safeguarding culture.

Location: The Shires Stretton / Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands LE15 7GT / LE15 6JB – The Shires.


Responsibilities

* Lead the in-house clinical team and provide direct therapy as part of a caseload.
* Collaborate with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead to co-design and deliver bespoke assessments and intervention plans for pupils with autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH needs.
* Ensure EHCP targets are addressed through the OFG all/group/individual clinical approaches.
* Coordinate line management of the onsite clinical team and contribute to service development of the school-based clinical service.
* Maintain a safeguarding-focused, pupil-centred service.
* Work with education teams to enable pupils to flourish and grow in independence.


Essential Criteria

* Degree qualification in a specific discipline.
* Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
* Current registration & membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS).
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs; clear, concise clinical and research reporting.
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service.
* Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty (preferred).

Job Details

* Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 dependent on experience
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time can be discussed)
