A well-established, family-run engineering business operating in the M&E side of the building sector is seeking a commercially driven Sales Leader to take ownership of its next growth phase.
With a solid reputation and a capable, experienced sales team already in place, the business is now looking for a dynamic individual to provide direction, sharpen strategy, and unlock larger-scale opportunities.
This is a hands‑on leadership role with a clear mandate: manage and develop an established team while personally driving the acquisition of high‑value clients - particularly main contractors - across both lapsed accounts and new business.
The Role
Lead, mentor, and energise a small but capable sales team.
Define and execute a clear sales strategy focused on growth and market expansion.
Re‑engage lapsed clients while proactively targeting new, high‑value opportunities.
Build strong relationships with main contractors and key decision‑makers.
Take ownership of major tender submissions, ensuring quality, competitiveness, and alignment with client needs.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery from bid to project completion.
The Candidate
Proven success selling into the M&E sector within the construction or building services industry.
Strong experience working with main contractors.
A track record of securing large‑scale contracts and managing complex tender processes.
Leadership capability, with the ability to motivate and guide an established team.
Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset, balanced with a hands‑on approach.
Confidence, credibility, and the drive to make a tangible impact in a growing business.
