Prospero Teaching is on the lookout for an exceptional Outreach Tutor to work 1:1 with students who are not currently attending school. These young people need more than just a tutor – they need a mentor, motivator, and a reliable guide back into learning.
This is your chance to deliver tailored, engaging Maths sessions that rebuild confidence, close learning gaps, and spark progress where it’s most needed.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
1. Location – Barking and Dagenham
2. Position – GCSE Maths Outreach Tutor
3. Type of work – Contract
4. Start date – ASAP
5. Duration / Likely Duration – dependent on each student
6. End date (if applicable) – N/A
7. Contract type – Temporary
8. Full time/part time – Part time and full time depending on availability
9. Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £25 per hour
10. Hours – Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
11. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
12. 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
13. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
14. Hold Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
16. Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
