Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Reset Room Manager to join our team. You will support students in our Reset Room, helping them regulate and return to lessons, and ensure they complete their work to stay on track with their studies.
The Reset Room Coordinator is responsible for maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting students within the inclusion room. Under supervision, you will take a lead role in managing pupils who are excluded or not following a normal timetable, and support systems aimed at reducing exclusions, enabling learning, and supporting reintegration into mainstream education.
Core duties include:
1. Supporting pupils' access to learning using appropriate strategies and resources.
2. Collaborating with staff to plan, evaluate, and adjust learning activities.
3. Monitoring and evaluating pupils' responses and progress, maintaining accurate records.
4. Providing feedback and reports on pupils' achievement and progress.
5. Managing record-keeping systems and developing behaviour management strategies.
6. Building constructive relationships with parents/carers to support attendance and learning.
7. Supporting pupils' social, health, and hygiene development.
8. Modeling school values and acting as a positive role model.
9. Managing supervision of pupils excluded or not following a timetable.
10. Delivering pastoral support and providing advice to pupils.
11. Implementing and supporting Individual Education/Behaviour/Support/Mentoring plans.
12. Promoting self-esteem and independence among pupils.
13. Using restorative practices to support pupils.
We will provide comprehensive training on policies, procedures, and systems to ensure your success in this role. Training sessions will be held daily from 9am to 4pm, with breaks, and will help you understand our company culture, values, and expectations.
