At Gemporia Craft, we're passionate about inspiring creativity and bringing people together through craft. From papercraft and resin to jewellery making and sewing. our brands HobbyMaker, SewingStreet, and JewelleryMaker bring expert-led tutorials and products to customers across multiple platforms.

We're seeking a driven eCommerce & Marketing Assistant to play a key role in enhancing our online customer experience and delivering compelling marketing campaigns. Working closely with the eCommerce Manager, you'll be instrumental in supporting product launches, website merchandising, and promotional activity, while stepping in to support the Marketing Team during periods of annual leave.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple marketing channels and develop technical eCommerce skills in a fast-paced, creative retail environment.

• Foundational knowledge of digital marketing channels (social media, email, PPC, SEO) is desirable.


• Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Canva.


• A customer-first approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The Role

As an eCommerce & Marketing Assistant, you will:


• Website Management & Merchandising:

- Assist with the day-to-day running of our eCommerce platforms, ensuring products are accurately uploaded, priced, and categorised.

- Optimise product listings and visuals to enhance the customer shopping experience.

- Support the creation of engaging landing pages, homepage features, and digital magazine content.


• Promotions & Campaigns:

- Support the execution of online promotions, including discounting, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.

- Assist with product scheduling and promotional planning to align with TV broadcasting schedules.


• Email & Content Marketing:

- Support Brand Owners to assist with email campaign creation and offer social media support

- Design basic graphics and visuals to support marketing initiatives.

- Help maintain brand consistency across all digital channels.


• Analytics & Research:

- Conduct competitor analysis, monitor online sales performance, and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates.

- Keep up to date with eCommerce and marketing trends to inform strategies.


• Collaboration & Support:

- Work closely with external suppliers, creative agencies, and internal teams to meet deadlines.

- Provide essential cover for marketing executives during annual leave periods to ensure seamless campaign delivery.

- Occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to support key promotions, product launches, or special events.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Previous experience in a similar role

- Experience using SEO Tools, Canva, MailChimp (or similar), Microsoft Office

- Creative with a strong attention to detail

- Excellent spelling and grammar

- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

- Able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously

Desirable qualities:

- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable interpreting data and metrics to optimise performance and improve user experience.

- Technical Curiosity: Interest in digital tools, eCommerce platforms, and emerging technologies (Chat GPT).

- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in product listings, pricing, and content uploads.

- Customer-Centric Thinking: Ability to understand customer behaviour and create engaging shopping journeys.

- Experience using MailChimp to build emails.

- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.

- Creative Flair: A knack for visually appealing content, branding, and product presentation.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Confident in troubleshooting technical or operational challenges.

- Collaborative Approach: Enjoys working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and operations teams.

- Commercial Awareness: Understands retail trends, promotions, and sales strategy.

- Drive to Learn: Willingness to continually upskill in eCommerce best practices, SEO, and digital marketing.

Salary - £25-26,000 per annum

Full time permanent role working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week with flexibility at busy times

Working minimum of 3 days on site (flexibility is essential)

**Our studios/offices are based in Redditch, Worcestershire, B98 9HF you must be able to comfortably commute to this location.**
