Job Purpose
Required Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
1. Roles and Responsibilities
2. Ensure that works are being carried out correctly and in accordance with any RAMS
3. Inform project manager of any anomalies and special circumstances where applicable
4. Ensure correct record keeping for all shift operations
5. Ensure adequacy of materials and equipment required for carrying out the shift work
6. Ensure that regular testing of materials is carried out in accordance with the works requirements
7. Management and control of Sub-Contractors
8. Support the professional development of personnel within the team
9. Own the construction risks associated with the works and participate in risk review meetings
10. Set an example to others in respect of H&S requirements and reporting
11. Liaise with staff and operatives to control workload and obtain feedback on production and H&S concerns
12. Qualifications and Experience
13. A Bachelor degree of equivalent in an Engineering discipline (preferably Civil, Structural or Mechanical)
14. SMSTS trained (Mandatory)
15. IOSH Managing Safely in Construction (Preferable but not mandatory)
16. CSCS Card
17. 3+ years experience with RC works & groundworks
18. Previous experience working as the PIC (Person in Charge).
