Junior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine
Candidates will be expected to have some post-qualification experience and experience inEmergency Medicine at Junior Clinical Fellow level will be desirable, but not essential. It is alsodesirable for the candidate to have completed FY2 competencies. The successful candidateswill also be encouraged to take their full study leave allowance to allow career progressiondefined at the structured training meetings.
The post holder will join a busy department with staff including 14 consultants, 5 ST4 (SpR), 2ACCS (ST1), 1 GPVTS, 13 FY2 trainees, 22 Junior Clinical Fellows and 19 Specialty Doctors.The appointee will gain a wide variety of clinical exposure in general medical, surgical andother specialty presentations.
Main duties of the job
The directorate is supportive towards professional development of doctors. We are keen tosupport non-trainee doctors to progress their Emergency Medicine careers by offeringquality training opportunities and exam preparation. We endeavor to do this with thedevelopment of internal training programmes including inter-specialty rotations. This willensure doctors gain the skills and competencies required to advance in the EmergencyMedicine field
