As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to support our finance team.As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and wider team to ensure accurate processing of financial transactions, timely reporting, and smooth running of accounts functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently
2. Reconcile bank statements andpany credit cards
3. Assist with month-end procedures including journal entries and accruals
4. Maintain and update financial records and ledgers
5. Support with VAT returns and other statutory filings
6. Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
7. Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis
8. Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Skills & Experience Required
9. Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role
10. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
11. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
12. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
13. Strongmunication and interpersonal abilities
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
