Overview
Team Leader / Senior Support Worker role based in a 5-bed home in Dewsbury. The home is rated 'Good' by Ofsted. All Children & Young People supported have a learning disability, autism, epilepsy or related behaviours. Some children may be non-verbal and communicate through picture boards, Smartbox devices and Makaton.
Responsibilities
* We are looking for a Team Leader to join the 5-bed home in Dewsbury, rated 'Good' with Ofsted. All the Children & Young People we support have a learning disability, Autism, epilepsy or can display some associated behaviours. Many of our children (not all) are non-verbal or have limited communication and will communicate with us through different methods such as picture boards, Smartbox devices and Makaton.
* Support the delivery of person-centred care and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for the children and young people.
Senior Support Worker Essentials
* 1-year experience in residential childcare plus Level 3 Children & Young People Award or equivalent
* Experience of working within and leading a team
* Driver (company provides a car during working hours)
* Able to work unsociable hours (evenings, nights and weekends)
* Willing and able to be part of Management on call system
Qualifications
* MUST HOLD A QCF LEVEL 3 in Health and Social Care - Children and Young People or equivalent

Salary: £14.99 per hour plus £67.50 for each sleep-in = £29,230 – £30,000 OTE. Closing Date: Wednesday 28 January 2026.
