The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a number of experienced CNC Lathe machinists, to work as Barrel Makers at our client's busy manufacturing site, based in Hilsea, Portsmouth.

Duties to include, but not limited to:
* Working in a production factory of a company that manufactures specialist weapons
* Operating a CNC Manual Lathe machine with Fanuc controls
* Working from schematic drawings
* Using a range of measuring equipments
* Manufacturing metal components for weapons
* Quality checking all manufactured parts
* Maintaining health and safety standards within the factory
Previous experience in operating CNC Manual Lathe machines, as well as the use of Fanuc controls, XYZ Prototrack controls and Heidenhain controls, are essential to be considered for this position. Any applicants that do not meet this criteria will be automatically rejected.
This is a full-time, ongoing position on a temp-to-perm basis. After 12 weeks, the company will offer a permanent contract.
Due to the nature of the business, any successful candidate will have to undergo a Police background check, which can take anywhere between 6 and 10 weeks to come back. Please ensure that you have a clean criminal record and are happy to wait 6 to 10 weeks to start the job before applying.
This position is to work on the late shift. The working hours are 15:30 - 01:30, Monday - Wednesday, and 15:30 - 23:30 Thursday. The company does not work on Friday, so you get a three-day weekend.
The starting pay rate will be between £14.00 and £16.00 per hour, depending on experience. This will be decided by the company following a successful interview.
