Role Overview
You will lead exciting portfolios including the delivery of new trams and tram lines, infrastructure renewal, transport hubs and interchanges, highways schemes (including active travel and bus priority), and electrifying the entire bus fleet in Greater Manchester. You will work across a range of stakeholders, including our constituent local authorities, Department for Transport, Highways England and private sector delivery partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage multiple infrastructure delivery projects from inception to completion.
* Develop and maintain a pipeline of new schemes and programmes.
* Engage and coordinate with stakeholders such as local authorities, national agencies and private partners.
* Drive the implementation of new technologies, including tram-trains and full electrification of the bus fleet.
* Deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* Significant track record of infrastructure delivery in transport or related sectors.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* A robust understanding of project management principles and best practices.
* Vision to realise the impact of new infrastructure on regional connectivity and sustainability.
