IAC are pleased to be supporting a UK-regulated financial institution in seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its Internal Audit function. This is a hands‑on role within a small team, focused on delivering end‑to‑end audits across Financial Crime and regulatory risk areas.
Based in London and reporting to the Chief Audit Officer, you will take ownership of a portfolio of audits, leading assignments from planning through to reporting. You will assess risk, perform testing, evaluate evidence, and produce clear, actionable audit reports. The role includes oversight of co-sourced audit support and regular engagement with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver end‑to‑end internal audits across Financial Crime and regulatory risk areas (e.g. AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud, KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring)
* Assess control effectiveness and provide evidence‑based conclusions
* Track and validate remediation of audit findings
* Engage and challenge senior stakeholders constructively
* Support ad‑hoc audit reviews and projects as required
About You
* Strong Internal Audit experience within financial services
* Proven expertise in Financial Crime auditing in a UK‑regulated environment
* Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and expectations
* Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
* Clear and effective communication skills, including high‑quality report writing
Desirable Qualifications
* CIA, ACA, ACCA, CFE, ACAMS or similar
* Additional Financial Crime or regulatory certifications are advantageous
