What will you be doing?
Holding Space is a small charity focusing on parent peer support and prioritising parental mental health. We work with parents and carers whose child is facing mental health challenges. We aim to help parents feel heard, less isolated, and better equipped to support their child.
Responsibilities include planning a schedule of engaging events to raise funds, coordinating long-term event plans, choosing dates/times/venues, coordinating with the marketing volunteer, seeking fundraising opportunities, managing events, attending events as needed, and budgeting to ensure income covers costs with the aim to generate revenue. This role is temporary while we seek additional volunteers due to workload.
Historically we have run events including book clubs, family craft workshops, and dinners with potential sponsors, as well as tailored workshops such as autism/ADHD and parenting teens. The priority is the annual Fundraising Dinner for 2026.
