As a Transport Manager based in Chesterfield youll be responsible for:
* Managing a team of 7 transport planners and drivers, conducting reviews and 1:1s
* Helping to maintain and develop customer SLAs, working closely with the warehouse to ensure all dispatches and loads are accurate and correct
* Reviewing and improving the transport site
* Liaising with third party hauliers on a regular basis, developing and maintaining strong relationships with them
* Working internally across multiple teams within the business
This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.00am 8.00pm, no weekend working!
And heres what wed like you to have:
* A manager's CPC is essential so you can run your own fleet of vehicles
* Proven experience running a multi-site fleet and managing third party contract haulage
* Continuous improvement in developing and increasing internal transport usage
* Experience using planning systems such as Master Naut and iStan
* A strong understanding of Microsoft packages including Microsoft Excel. You will be expected to run reports on Microsoft Excel
