Job Description
REED/LTA are seeking a nurturing Teaching Assistant to work for 5 mornings a week from 8.45am to 12.30pm in a 1:1 role to support a little girl in year 5 who is currently working at the level of a 4-year-old. The child has no behaviour concerns and needs extra support. This role is long term and will be starting in September. This role requires a compassionate individual with experience in special educational needs (SEN), to support her educational journey in a lovely rural village school setting.
The pay for the role will be 14.18 per hour.
An Enhanced DBS that is on the update service will be required and a TA2 qualification.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 girl, focusing on tailored educational activities that match her developmental level.
* Engage the student with interactive and educational games that promote learning and development.
* Assist with the preparation of learning materials that meet the specific needs of the child.
* Monitor the child's progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents to ensure consistent support both at school and at home.
* Create a supportive and understanding environment to help the child thrive both academically and socially.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
* A nurturing and patient approach to student interaction.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with teachers and parents.
* Relevant qualifications in education or child care (NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent) are preferable.
