The organisation is recruiting a highly skilled Acoustic Consultant to complement a team of noise specialists in Leeds and contribute to a challenging range of projects in both public and private sectors.
Qualifications
* Preferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics, Noise & Vibration
* AMIOA membership (optional)
Experience
* Acoustic consultancy experience in environmental and/or building acoustics
* Technically competent and IT proficient
* Good communication and client liaison skills
* Extensive and detailed understanding of sound insulation testing
* Highly organised and IT literate
Responsibilities & Duties
* Measurement surveys and reporting
* Providing solutions in line with noise control and insulation requirements
* Prediction and measurement of transportation noise
* Compliance and negotiation of planning conditions
* Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
* Liaise with consultants, engineers, and architects
* Write high‑quality technical reports
* Industrial and commercial noise control activities
* Consultation with Environmental Health Officers and advise on planning conditions
* Undertake noise assessment site visits across the UK
