Job Description:
Were looking for a Vocational Tutor (Construction) to join a passionate team based in Rochdale. This role focuses on delivering high-quality training that helps learners develop practical skills and achieve their qualifications, setting them up for success in the construction industry.
Youll design, deliver and assess engaging learning programmes, ensuring each student receives the right level of support to reach their goals. Working as part of one of the UKs largest skills and training providers, youll help shape the future workforce and make a real difference to learners and employers alike.
The role involves:
Planning, designing and delivering engaging construction training sessions that meet the needs of all learners.
Carrying out initial and ongoing assessments to ensure learners are on the right programme and receiving the right support.
Using technology and digital learning tools to enhance delivery and create interactive learning experiences.
Providing structured feedback, marking work, and setting clear development objectives for learners.
Ensuring a safe learning environment and following all health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
Supporting the continuous improvement of teaching and learning standards within the centre.
Youll need:
A recognised Construction qualification (Level 1 or above).
A teaching qualification (Level 4 or above) such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or DTLLS.
Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (GCSE or Functional Skills).
At least 12 years teaching experience, ideally within construction.
Current industry knowledge and experience in your specialist area.
Understanding of teaching and learning quality standards, including Ofsted requirements.
Confidence using digital platforms to support and enhance learning delivery.
