Job Description
Join a long-established IT & Website Development Company in the Lake District, known for its stunning office views. We are seeking a talented Technical Engineer (2nd or 3rd Line) to join our engineering team. This role offers flexibility with remote work 1-2 days per week and requires presence at our Keswick office.
Role Details
* Location: Keswick, Lake District (Hybrid: 3-4 days in-office)
* Salary: £27,000 - £37,000 (dependent on experience)

About You
Experience in IT support, user desktop support, server and cloud services, IP networks, Windows Servers, MSP. Sectors include IT, customer support, and IT support.

The Role
Support clients with cloud solutions, VoIP, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Work across diverse technologies in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
1. Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for servers, networks, cloud, and VoIP systems.
2. Design and implement Windows Server infrastructure and backup solutions.
3. Support clients remotely and on-site across Cumbria and beyond.
4. Maintain system security and cybersecurity practices.
5. Collaborate with team members and support junior staff.
Candidate Requirements
* Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365.
* Understanding of networking fundamentals.
* Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
* Excellent communication and proactive attitude.
* Full UK driving license.
Desirable Skills
* 3+ years in IT support.
* Experience with VoIP and MSP tools like ConnectWise, NinjaRMM.
* Familiarity with firewalls (Sophos, Cisco, Ubiquiti).
* Experience with Datto, Veeam, ShadowProtect, ESET.
* Industry certifications and willingness to learn.
