Overview
The Training Programme Director in IMT (Cheshire & Merseyside) supports the Head of School in the strategic development of the School of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of training programmes for Stage 1 IMT trainees from Year 1 to Year 3.
* Contribute to the quality assurance of medical training for all NHS England Schwaller Accreditation Council (NHSE ACCS) trainees rotating through medical posts.
* Drive the School’s recruitment and retention strategy and support the School Operational Programme.
* Serve as a member of the School Board.
* Improve learner supervision, assessment and experience, engage faculty, and ensure effective educational outcomes.
* Lead whole‑workforce transformation initiatives and develop multi‑professional links.
Qualifications
* Experienced NHS consultant with a thorough understanding of IMT training across the region.
* Strong leadership, communication and multi‑professional teamwork skills.
* Demonstrated experience in educational programme management, quality assurance and workforce development.
Benefits
End date for all new educator appointments will be 31st March 2027. Potential extension beyond this date may be considered if available.
