An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Perth High School as a Principal Teacher of Guidance (PTG). The role will see the successful candidate lead Elcho House, one of six houses at our school.
This is an exciting time to join our team Perth High School is a large, friendly and welcoming comprehensive, drawing pupils from a mix of Perth City and rural Perthshire. We are an ambitious school, for all of our people and are undergoing a significant period of change both in our development as a school community as we have just completed an incredibly exciting move to our state of the art Passivhaus standard building.
Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated leader who can work within our wellbeing team and across our Extended Leadership Team (ELT).
You should have experience of planning and delivering engaging and stimulating learning experiences which meet the needs of all learners.
You should have a keen motivation for developing, quality assuring and self-evaluating the curriculum around health, wellbeing, safeguarding, fairness and equity.
The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher, with a track record of forming and developing strong relationships and collaborative working practices.
You will have excellent communication skills and have experience of professionally and positively engaging learners, families, colleagues and school partners.
You will be committed to promoting our school values of ambition, respect and equity and support an ethos build upon our expectations that all of our people are ready, respectful and safe.
Along with upholding the values and ethos of the school, the successful candidate will become part of our integrated team for support. Part of this role will be to show a commitment to meeting the needs of every child, by upholding the principles of GIRFEC.
You must demonstrate the ability to motivate, engage and support young people on a day-to-day basis, aiming to support the best possible outcome for each young person.
