Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Building Services Project Manager to join Derby City Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will oversee complex, high-value schemes from feasibility through to completion — ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Manage the full lifecycle of building projects — including new builds, refurbishments, conversions and demolitions. * Lead internal and external project teams, including consultants and contractors. * Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, codes of practice and CDM Regulations (acting as Principal Designer where required). * Oversee procurement, contract management and financial control for allocated projects. * Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and transparency. * Contribute to strategic planning, business development and continuous improvement within the Property, Design and Maintenance team. * Provide leadership, coaching and performance management to multi-disciplinary staff. About You You will be a confident and proactive project leader with significant experience managing large-scale construction or property projects in a complex environment.
