What we are looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Accounts Assistant who embodies our company values and has a strong desire to succeed within a finance and administration role.
In this role, you will be motivated, and detail-oriented, with a passion for delivering exceptional support. You will play a key part in supporting our finance team, ensuring smooth processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts, finance, and/or administrative support, with a strong focus on accuracy, organisation, and delivering first-class service. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be confident managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

About the Accounts Assistant Role
You will be responsible for:
* Managing the sales ledger cycle: issuing sales invoices, raising payment schedules, acting as the primary contact for clients, collaborating with managers and colleagues, reducing retention receivable balances ahead of due dates, and ensuring compliance with VAT legislation (standard rate and domestic reverse charge).
* Handling the purchase ledger: processing invoices and credit notes, reconciling credit card statements, matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, generating reports, and reconciling supplier balances with statements.
* Liaising with suppliers via email and telephone to resolve queries and manage payment controls.
* Performing bank payments and bank reconciliations.
* Processing employee expenses and stay-away allowances in line with company policy.
* Supporting with any other ad hoc duties as required.
This is a permanent role based at our head office is based in Wollaston, Northamptonshire.
The Successful Applicant: Experienced accounts/ finance administration, and will be professional, a strong communicator, strong admin skills, enthusiastic highly organised and a good/strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
