Water Resources Manager – 32733
Environment Agency is seeking an experienced Water Resources Manager to lead a department within Operations Catchment Services. The role will deliver national water resource services and support the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert input to the National Framework for Water Resources.
* Lead drought planning and drought management initiatives.
* Develop talent and skills in water planning across a team of technical experts.
* Oversee national modelling for water resources and groundwater.
* Shape and scrutinise Water Companies’ statutory Water Resource Management Plans.
* Manage programmes to deliver sustainable abstraction.
* Champion health, safety, wellbeing, inclusion and people development.
* Deliver operational services efficiently and effectively.
* Act as a member of the Operations Catchment Services Leadership Team.
Qualifications & Experience
* Authentic leadership style with a strong team focus.
* Experience developing individuals, fostering an inclusive culture.
* Excellent stakeholder management, customer focus and influencing skills.
* Strategic thinker able to simplify complex integration.
* Working knowledge of water resources management and awareness of environmental, political, and economic pressures affecting the sector.
* Experience leading technical and delivery teams.
