New Directions are working closely with a fantastic primary school in Middleton, looking for an experienced level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be caring, proactive and passionate about working with children. This role will be based in a year 5 class, to start as soon as possible.
Level 2 Teaching Assistant responsibilities:
* To support the teacher in the delivery of the curriculum, preparing resources and setting up activities.
* To support children in their learning, enabling them to reach their potential
* To carry out group work and interventions directed by the class teacher
* To provide extra support and differentiation for children with additional needs
* To support the teacher with classroom management, following behaviour policies and promoting a positive learning environment
* To communicate effectively with teachers, pupils and parents, developing strong professional relationships
Teaching Assistant requirements:
* Experience supporting primary aged pupils
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* A patient, flexible, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning
