Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Planner/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing schedules, resources, and project timelines to ensure efficient operations and timely project completion. The Planner/Scheduler will work closely with various departments to improve productivity, optimise resource allocation, and support overall project planning efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling:
* Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and milestones.
* Coordinate with project managers and team members to gather project requirements and timelines.
Resource Management:
* Analyse resource availability and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects.
* Monitor resource workload and make adjustments as necessary to enhance productivity.
Data Management:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project schedules, resource allocation, and budget expenditures.
* Prepare and distribute regular status reports and updates to stakeholders.
Communication:
* Act as a liaison between departments to ensure smooth communication pertaining to project timelines and resource availability.
* Facilitate meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
Continuous Improvement:
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance scheduling efficiency.
* Utilise planning software and tools effectively to optimise scheduling processes.
Problem Solving:
* Proactively address scheduling conflicts and resource constraints, offering creative solutions to meet deadlines.
* Analyse data and trends to forecast potential issues and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
* 5 years of experience in a planning or scheduling role, preferably
* Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Smartsheet) and scheduling tools.
Skills:
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
