We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to join our vibrant and busy Motor Trade team based in Croydon. This role would suit someone with Motor Trade and Commercial experience dealing with renewals, existing or new business.
Responsibilities
* Develop Client and Insurer relationships to maximise business opportunities and achieve Key Performance Indicators including income targets.
* Place Motor Trade Combined business within authority limits and approved markets, referring unusual cases to an experienced colleague or Head Office.
* Undertake general broking activities including dealing with client queries and correspondence.
* Handle New Business, Renewals and Adjustments including reviewing the adequacy of covers and suitability of terms, and communicating terms, conditions, warranties and pricing clearly.
* Attend insurer surveys to ensure risk improvements are implemented and communicated to Clients if the basis of cover or terms change as a result of the survey.
* Manage your diary effectively and adhere to agreed policies and procedures as detailed in the Compliance Handbook.
* Use PIB systems (e.g., Acturis) and ensure data is up to date for effective Management Information and Reporting.
* Liaise with Finance (including Credit Control) to resolve queries promptly and efficiently.
* Attend Company and/or Branch meetings and required training; achieve minimum CPD requirements through in-house training or development identified during Performance & Development Review meetings.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience in Motor Trade and Commercial insurance, with a track record in renewals, new business, and client relationship management.
* Strong administration and communication skills; ability to develop business and client relationships.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a diary and competing priorities.
* Familiarity with insurer guidelines under Delegated Authority schemes and a willingness to work within established compliance frameworks.
* Ability to work collaboratively with clients, insurers and colleagues and to assess risks effectively.
