Senior Rust Engineer

I’m partnering with an early-stage, product-led startup building a platform for transport operations - frankly, one of the most complex, real-time environments in the world. The team are already profit making with runway for the next 2 years (if they brought no further clients on).
Please note, some travel across Europe/USA may be required.
Core skills we look for:
* Rust (2+ years commercial experience)
* gRPC
* PostgreSQL or SQL
* Professional experience in developing integrations with third-party systems
* CI/CD, Docker, GitHub Actions

What you’ll be doing:
* Build and maintain Rust-based backend services using gRPC and Postgres
* Design and own integrations with external client systems
* Lead technical conversations with product teams and customers to gather requirements, shape solutions and deliver new features
* Design data models
* Contribute to frontend development in React/Android when needed
Helpful skills if you had them:
* Streaming or unary gRPC
* Apache Arrow / Parquet
* Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
