Job Overview
A 12-month secondment post of Band 8b Acting Lead Infection Prevention & Control Nurse covers a period of parenting leave for the current postholder.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and innovative nurse, with experience working at Band 8b Advanced Level practice in Infection Prevention & Control, to lead the service provided by the Frimley Park Hospital Infection Prevention & Control Team, for Frimley Park Hospital and its integrated community services.
Main duties of the job
To work closely with the Infection Prevention Nurse Consultant and Infection Prevention & Control Doctor, leading and managing the Frimley Park Hospital Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Team in the provision and promotion of a comprehensive IPC service for Frimley Park Hospital and community services.
The post will lead, develop, and implement systems to improve the quality of the infection prevention and control service, by the delivery of national directives to develop local quality, patient safety, and safe systems of working for staff. You will provide clear leadership for infection prevention across the site, influencing and improving the quality of care delivered to our patients.

* Evidence of IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office
