Overview
Adults Senior Occupational Therapist - Woking. We are a caring team based at Victoria Gate in Woking, operating with a hybrid model (office and home). Full-time staff are expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
Job responsibilities
As a Senior Occupational Therapist you will conduct holistic assessments of social care needs and plan support across a dedicated caseload. You will assess for major adaptations, specialised equipment, and complete moving and handling risk assessments. You will work closely with families, carers and care workers to support residents from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of needs, aiming to help them live meaningful lives within the community. Regular supervision is provided, and informal support from the wider team is available.
About the team
We work with residents aged 65 and over who require care and support, as well as younger individuals living with physical disabilities, long-term illness, or sensory impairments. Our approach is person-centred and inclusive. We value carers and family members and provide them with support. The professional team includes Social Care and Occupational Therapy Assistants, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists. We foster a culture of continuous learning and development to help you grow in your role.
Salary and working arrangements
Starting salary of £47,884 per annum for a 36-hour week (pro-rata for part-time). The role is also open to internal candidates for a 12-month Secondment, subject to Line Manager approval.

Requirements and qualifications
* Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration
* Experience in a social care, health or community-focused multi-disciplinary setting
* Ability to complete person-centred and proportionate OT assessments
* Familiarity with moving and handling equipment (e.g., hoists, stand aids)
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
* Substantial post-qualification experience with complex cases and professional supervision experience
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel across a wide geographic area (reasonable adjustments may be made)
