DevOps Engineer - Wearables
A new role has become available for a DevOps Engineer at a company which is developing cutting edge wearable payments technology. With this payment solution being used by financial institutions, wearable manufacturers as well as events and stadium owners, the possible applications of this secure payment technology are endless.
As a DevOps Engineer you will be in charge of designing and maintaining both cloud and physical infrastructure. For the cloud side, they use AWS and as part of the physical infrastructure, you will need to go to their datacentre from time to time. This role is ideal for a junior-mid level engineer, hoping to exapnd their skills and knowledge.
This is a highly varied role where you will get the opporunity to own and drive forward DevOps projects in this company. Some you the AWS services you will get to use include: EC2, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53, Lambda, Cloudfront, AWS Firewall Manager, Terraform, Certificate Manager, Cloudwatch, CloudTrail and SNS/SQS.
Responsibilities
* Design and maintain cloud and physical infrastructure to support wearable payments technology.
* Work with AWS services such as EC2, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53, Lambda, CloudFront, AWS Firewall Manager, Terraform, Certificate Manager, CloudWatch, CloudTrail and SNS/SQS.
* Manage and operate in a hybrid environment including on-premises data centre access.
* Own and drive forward DevOps projects within the company.
Requirements
* AWS experience
* Cisco and Juniper switches / firewalls
* Linux based servers or similar
