Senior Strategic Change Lead Senior Strategic Change Lead Location: Leeds/Dublin/London Reporting to: Head of Business Change Contract type: Perm About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Change Lead, to play a meaningful role in shaping and delivering compelling communication strategies that support major initiatives across the organisation. This role requires strategic transformation skills with strong leadership, sponsor management, and problem-solving skills to drive successful programme outcomes. The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading enterprise-wide change programmes, engaging with C-suite team members, and navigate sophisticated business environments. By its nature, this role is broad and plays a critical part in crafting and delivering compelling communication strategies that support major initiatives across the organisation. This role will deeply understand Flutter teams to ensure that communication plans support colleagues and leaders be advised, engaged and inspired throughout periods of transformation. About Division/Function Flutter consists of two commercial divisions (FanDuel and International) and our central Flutter Functions; COO, Finance & Legal. In Flutter COO we work with authorities across Flutter to build, deploy and communicate the Flutter Edge. Together we cover Product & Payments, Technology, Sportsbook Product & Trading, People, Property, Corporate Communications and Strategic Partnerships & Transformation. What you’ll do. Strategic Communication Management. Develop and lead end-to-end change communications strategies for sophisticated transformation programmes and initiatives. Upskill and advise the rest of the Business Change Team to support them in landing their initiatives. Strategic Business Change. Understands end-to-end Business Change Management methods and is an advocate for Business Change best practice. Senior Sponsor Engagement. Supports the Head of Change in building and maintaining senior sponsor relationships across the organisation to advise on Change and Change Communication best practices. Specifically works with Internal Communication and HR to ensure alignment with the change and communication framework and to drive value between the teams. Communication & Storytelling. Supports the creation of the Transformation Change Narrative to help us tell a compelling Executive level story about how our transformations will bring to bear our scale and help us achieve our $100bn ambition. Change Leadership. Supports the Head of Change in driving strategic direction and critical initiatives. Will partner with senior sponsors to understand the ask, assess the change and communication opportunities and recommend the support required. You will become comfortable with ambiguity and have a proven track record in driving and solving strategic business problems. Team Engagement. Can lead the communication requirements across the whole Strategic Change and Transformation Team. This will involve leading the design of team off-sites twice per year, monthly team meetings, design and implement local team celebrations mechanics. Skills and attributes for success: Experience. Has demonstrated the ability to lead communications in large-scale change and transformation programmes preferably within Consumer, Retail, Tech, Gaming or eCommerce industries Expertise. Have solid understanding and experience of using change and Change Communication management methods. PROSCI qualification would be desirable. Experience working with strategy and portfolio and programme teams would also be desirable. Skills. Excellent engagement, influencing, communication, presentation and EQ skills. Is able to quickly establish personal credibility and build strong relationships. Experience working closely with senior leaders and managing multiple stakeholders Adaptability. Able to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment with high levels of ambiguity and change. Is comfortable with changing priorities, and managing multiple concurrent demands.
