New Directions Education are working with a lovely Primary School in Ellesmere Port who are looking to appoint a Part-Time Nursery Teacher to cover F1 (Nursery) on Thursdays and Fridays from September 2025 until December 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher who thrives in a nurturing, play-based environment and understands the unique needs of younger learners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning to children in F1
2. Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
3. Working closely with support staff and parents to promote learning and development
4. Planning around the EYFS framework and assessing pupil progress
5. Supporting early language and communication skills
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. QTS and experience teaching in a Nursery or Early Years setting
7. A warm, child-centred approach to teaching and learning
8. Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
9. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
10. A passion for helping young children thrive in their early education

Job Specification
An EYFS Teacher works in day nurseries and also nursery or reception classes in infant or primary schools.

As an EYFS teacher you’ll be expected to:
18. Teach all areas of the Early Years Statutory Framework
19. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a safe and positive teaching environment
20. Plan and prepare activities that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
21. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
22. Maintain discipline
23. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
24. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
25. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
26. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
27. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly in smaller schools and day-nurseries.
