Job Purpose The Business Development Manager will drive growth by promoting the Hyfire brand, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring Hyfire products are specified into new projects. The role will involve being a proactive, technically minded professional with strong relationship building skills, who excels at influencing decision makers and driving market share growth. Functional Accountabilities Brand Promotion & Market Influence Proactively promote the Hyfire brand to consultants, specifiers, fire engineers, systems integrators, and end users. Create and sustain long term partnerships to drive business development. Deliver compelling presentations, CPDs, product demonstrations and technical briefings to raise brand awareness. Represent Hyfire at industry events, networking forums, exhibitions and trade bodies. Research market trends, competitor activity and pricing intelligence to support strategic aims and lead generation. Driving Product Specification Promote Hyfire product brand awareness and inclusion in consultant specifications, tender documents, and project designs. Build and nurture long-term relationships with fire system designers, consulting engineers, and major contractors. Monitor upcoming projects within the UK & Ireland and influence specification at early design stages. Provide pre‑sales technical support to ensure specified solutions meet project requirements. Reporting & Planning Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project pipelines and specification wins in CRM system. Produce monthly activity reports and territory plans demonstrating progress against targets. Contribute to strategic sales planning and forecast development. Requirements & Skills Essential Proven experience in business development, specification sales, or technical sales, ideally within fire detection, fire safety, building technologies, or related sectors. Strong ability to influence and negotiate with consultants, specifiers, and decision‑makers. Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills. Self‑driven, results driven, organised, and comfortable managing a field‑based role. Ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value propositions. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Experience delivering CPDs and technical product sessions. Existing network of fire industry consultants, integrators, or Mechanical & Electrical contractors. Knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., British Standards and EN codes of practice). Experience of working with wireless fire alarm products and principles. Demonstrates strong entrepreneurial skills, with the ability to identify new business development opportunities and drive innovative solutions. Benefits Competitive Salary and bonus scheme.
