Farnborough Hill is looking to recruit a part-time Art and Food Technician as soon as possible. We are also open to recruiting two part-timers to create two separate roles. The successful applicant will be able to work well as a member of a team, as well as to be a motivated self-starter.
Responsibilities within the Art Department will include ensuring that all aspects of the teaching space are maintained and ready for the delivery of lessons, make orders and keep inventory on supplies, set up for lessons and keep stock tidy. This varied role will include supporting the teaching staff in the delivery of practical assessments and activities.
Within the Food Technology Department, responsibilities will include the general preparation of ingredients and equipment within the Food room; supporting class teacher with the demonstration of practical food lessons; organising, maintaining and monitoring of machines and equipment; ordering of resources and stock.
The hours would be from 9.15 am to 2.15 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10.00 am to 2.00 pm on Wednesdays during term time only plus INSET days based on the joint Art and Food Technician role. If applying for only Art Technician or Food Technician, hours will be discussed at interview.
The hourly rate is £13.94. Salaries are inclusive of holiday pay and are paid monthly. There is auto-enrolment into the Schools defined contribution pension scheme, free on-site parking, remission of fees for a daughter attending the School (in line with the current policy, subject to the usual standards and procedures for admission), and Death in Service (four times salary paid to next of kin).
